Eureka!

After submitting the previous blog entry....I was rather uneasy about my analysis of the phrase structure of the verse (I said that there wasn't any antecedent/consequent structure), and kept thinking about it...

and then it suddenly struck me this afternoon:

IT IS A THREE-PHRASE STRUCTURE!!

Has Dr. Chong graded the blog yet or is it too late? Haha =P

**Oh well, I guess it's never too late to learn. You can eventually find the answer if you do not stop trying!**

  1. Great that you have continued to mulled over it. And yes, eureka, it is a three-phrase unit within the 6-bar ground bass, at least for the first two statements. Note however that neither of the two units are closed because of the ending with V.
